When Sacajawea was little she was captured and was split up with her parents and siblings and became a slave. Once she got older she was sold to a Canadian fur trapper named Touss aint Charbonneau but, he only wanted her for a wife. Sometimes when something bad happened to Toussaint Charbonneau he would kick and hit her and sometimes he would say mean and disrespectful things to her. One day when Toussaint Charbonneau was at work the Lewis and Clark Expedition asked him to join the Expedition because they needed more people. When he got home from work he told Sacajawea to pack up because he was asked to join the Lewis ad Clark Expedition and he could not leave her here by herself because she was pregnant and she could have the baby very soon. So Sacajawea packed up and they were ready for their Expedition. Soon on Febuary 11th 1805 Sacajawea’s little baby boy was born and she named him Jean Baptiste. Soon the Lewis and Clark Expedition came to the Rocky Mountains but, they didn’t know how to get through or around it, but then Sacajawea realized that she lived in the Rocky Mountains ad she knew how to get through. Then she said “Everyone follow me I know the way.” So everybody followed her through the mountains, all of a sudden Sacajawea started shouting “It’s you it’s you.” It was here brother and he was the chief she had found her tribe. She ran to them to tell them about her life and her wonderful husband and baby boy. Then Lewis and Clark asked if they could trade for horses so they could get to there people in time to tell the great news. The chief made a great deal but Sacajawea was sad and happy because she got to stay with her tribe but she had to leave her husband but the greatest thing happened to her because she became a HERO!!!!!!
